What is PROJECT TUSTIN?

PROJECT TUSTIN is the City of Tustin’s comprehensive approach to supporting and strengthening its business community.

Rather than relying on passive outreach or one-time programs, PROJECT TUSTIN creates an ongoing connection between local businesses and City Hall through direct engagement, data-driven insights, and coordinated marketing support.

The initiative brings together multiple Economic Development services into one unified strategy designed to help businesses grow, solve challenges, and stay connected to the City.

How PROJECT TUSTIN Works

PROJECT TUSTIN operates through three integrated focus areas that work together to support local businesses:

VISITATION: Building Relationships

City staff meet directly with businesses across Tustin to understand needs, answer questions, and connect owners to resources. This proactive outreach ensures the City builds relationships and shows up first, not just when issues arise.

CITY SCOPE: Analytical Support

Through tools like City Scope, businesses gain access to professional-grade market analytics that help them better understand customers, trade areas, and growth opportunities.

The Business Concierge Program connects Tustin businesses with the guidance, answers, and City support needed to move from idea to opening with confidence: a true one-stop resource for doing business in Tustin.

BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT: Marketing & Visibility

The City amplifies local businesses through social media features, video spotlights, newsletters, digital displays, and other platforms to help businesses reach new audiences.

Together, these efforts transform economic development from a reactive service into a coordinated partnership with Tustin’s business community.
