Housing is a basic need for all people. For some, meeting this basic need is nearly impossible. This is especially true in Orange County, where rents and the costs of home ownership have skyrocketed. It has become increasingly difficult to live and work within a reasonable area.
The Tustin City Council is keenly aware of the need for quality affordable housing for its residents. Many city-assisted projects already exist in Tustin, with more under construction or in planning. The Tustin Housing Authority will continue efforts to provide the local workforce with access to quality housing through rental and homeownership opportunities for lower-income families.
The Tustin Housing Authority is responsible for increasing, improving, and preserving the community’s supply of low and moderate income housing available at affordable housing costs.
