The City of Tustin has partnered with the Orange County/Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (OCIE-SBDC) to develop a Small Business Emergency Grant Program to provide vital economic support to small businesses needing assistance in overcoming the temporary loss of revenue due to COVID-19.
Small businesses negatively affected by COVID-19, with 20 or less employees, may be eligible to receive a working capital grant of up to $10,000. The grant may be used for business operating expenses such as rent/lease payments, mortgage payments, utility expenses, inventory, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) or other similar expenses that occur in the ordinary course of operations.
Funding for the program is provided by the Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act received through a Disbursement Agreement from the County of Orange to the City of Tustin. To launch the program, the City will initially release $750,000 of these grant funds, followed by additional releases through the end of this year.
The City of Tustin and the OCIE-SBDC will conduct three webinars, prior to the opening of the application period for the Small Business Emergency Grant Program and will outline the program, the application, and additional documents needed to respond. The webinars will be conducted in English and Spanish.

The Small Business Emergency Grant Program application period opens Friday, June 12 at 9:00 am and closes Thursday, June 18 at 5:00 pm.
