The Tustin Housing Authority connects residents with affordable housing resources, including the Housing Choice Voucher Program and low-income rental options throughout Orange County. While the Orange County Housing Authority (OCHA) administers the voucher program and maintains the regional affordable housing list, the City of Tustin also partners with the Fair Housing Foundation to provide education, tenant-landlord support, and discrimination assistance.

The City of Tustin is excited to share a fun way to step into Tustin’s history through the Old Town Tustin Historic Virtual Walking Tour. With 14 stops included in the self-guided tour, you are sure to learn something new and interesting along the way. The Planning Services Concierge Program is just one important component of the Streamline Tustin initiative. The goal of the of the Concierge Program is to streamline the provision of services while emphasizing customer-friendly and time-saving practices through: 

1. Site and Business Operations Zoning Compatibility Checks
2. Entitlement and Permitting Consultations 
3. One-on-One Consultations Focused on Specific Business and Operational Needs...and more!

There are new outdoor dining and seating options available to businesses who established outdoor spaces during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Highlights of the updated outdoor dining and seating options includes:

1. Outdoor Dining Area: A permanently improved, separately identifiable outdoor dining area. Commonly includes enhanced flooring or decking, decorative fencing or planters, and furnishings. Requires review and approval by the Community Development Department.
2. Outdoor Seating Area: Includes portable chairs, tables, and furnishings setup next to or near the restaurant. Does not include permanent improvements. No permit required, but the area would need to comply with the requirements described in the amendment.
3. Dining in the Public Right-of-Way: One or both of the above-mentioned outdoor dining categories provided within the public right-of-way (sidewalk, street, etc.). Requires coordination with, and approval of, a License Agreement from the Public Works Department in addition to the typical requirements for either outdoor dining category.
