California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) Tax Revenue Sharing Agreement Disclosure
California Revenue and Taxation Code Section 7213 requires local jurisdictions such as the City of Tustin to report to CDTFA each year information regarding any agreements that resulted in rebated sales and use tax revenues. The City is also required to post this information on its website. In February 2010, the City of Tustin entered into an agreement with Hinderliter, de Llamas and Associates (HdL) to provide sales and use tax audit and recovery services. The agreement also provides that HdL is compensated at 15% of all sales and use tax revenues received by the City of Tustin as a result of HdL’s audit and recovery work. The agreement is still in effect.
