City Budgets
The City of Tustin has a bi-annual budget process, with funds appropriated annually for the fiscal year which begins in July and ends in June of the following year. Our approach is to combine the strategic plan and annual financial plan for operations and capital improvements.
This process enables us to direct our resources towards programs and activities with the greatest potential to successfully achieve our Vision and Purpose.
2025-2027 ADOPTED BUDGET
On May 20, 2025, the City conducted a Budget Workshop on the Proposed Annual Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program for the Fiscal Years 2025-27. On June 3, 2025, the City Council adopted the 2025-27 Biennial Fiscal Operating & Capital Improvement Budget.
2025-2027 BUDGET-IN-BRIEF (YEAR ONE 2025-2026)
On June 3, 2025, the City Council adopted the Biennial Fiscal Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program, covering Fiscal Years 2025-2027. This 216-page budget document presents a detailed funding plan for the year. To make the information more accessible, a "Budget-In-Brief" has been created, offering a clear, concise overview of the City's budget for the public. This summary reflects the City's dedication to fiscal responsibility and transparency.

2024-2025 ADOPTED BUDGET
On May 21, 2024, the City conducted a Budget Workshop on the Proposed Annual Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program for the Fiscal Year 2024-25, which allocates resources that reflect the City Council’s priorities set forth in the City’s five-year strategic plan. On June 18, 2024, the City Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Budget.
2023-2025 BUDGET-IN-BRIEF (Year two 2024-2025)
On June 18, 2024, the City Council adopted the second-year update to the 2023-25 Biennial Fiscal Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program, covering Fiscal Year 2024-2025. This 202-page budget document presents a detailed funding plan for the year.
