Transportation Permit Guidelines

A transportation permit must be obtained if:

• The vehicle/load exceeds 14 feet in height
• The vehicle/load exceeds 8 feet in width
• The vehicle/load exceeds 65 feet in length

Permits in Vehicles

Transportation permits shall be carried in the vehicle at all times.

Obtaining a Transportation Permit

Transportation Permit Applications are to be submitted electronically through the City's Citizen Self Service Portal.  The following items must be submitted in the system prior to the approval of a transportation permit:

• $16 Single Trip or $90 Annual Transportation Permit fee. 
• Certificate of Liability Insurance owner must have:
  • Certificate of Liability Insurance must include additional insured endorsement
  • City of Tustin as Additional Insured
  • General Liability must be at least $1,000,000
