[ARCHIVED] Fatal Traffic Collision

On Saturday, July 13, 2019, at approximately 9:29 p.m., Tustin Police Dispatch received 911 calls regarding a traffic collision in the area of Jamboree Road and West Drive involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.  When officers arrived, they found a pedestrian in the roadway with major injuries.  Paramedics responded shortly thereafter and pronounced the pedestrian deceased.

The preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian entered the roadway and was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Jamboree.  Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the collision.  The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.  The investigation is on-going and fault is still being determined.

The pedestrian is identified as 19-year-old Trace Goodwin from Pensacola, Florida.

If anyone has information about this collision, please call Officer Casiello at 714-573-3218.
