Beginning January 1, 2021, the FPPC’s state campaign contribution limit applied by default to city candidates when the city did not already enact laws addressing contribution limits on local candidates. The 2021-2022 contribution limits to Local Candidates Per Election are as follows: $4,900 Person (individual, business entity, committee/PAC), $4,900 Small Contributor Committee and $4,900 Political Party.
