City of Tustin’s Memorial Day Remembrance Event

The Tustin City Council and Parks and Recreation Department invite you to attend a Memorial Day Remembrance Event on Monday, May 29, at 9:00 am at Veterans Sports Park (1645 Valencia Ave.). The free event will honor Killed in Action (KIA) and Missing in Action (MIA) United States service members and their families. 

The program begins at 9:00 am and will include keynote speaker Rick Martinez from Honoring Our Fallen, an organization that provides support for families of our fallen specifically during the dignified transfer of remains. 

The National Anthem will be performed by the Voices of Tustin and a 21-gun salute by the American Legion Post 227 will follow the reading of the names honoring Tustin’s 28 KIA/MIA United States service members. The event will also highlight the installation of new pavers honoring Tustin Veterans at the Tustin Veterans Memorial.
