New Tustin Civic Center Wall Mural

Tustin Civic Center Wall Mural

The City of Tustin Public Art Committee is proud to announce the completion of its latest project, a wall mural at the Tustin Civic Center.  Created by artist Aaron Glasson, the mural is a design featuring flora that is locally abundant and/or endemic to Tustin combined with abstract forms. It is located on a seat wall facing Main Street on the south side of the Clifton C. Miller Community Center.

Mr. Glasson is a multi-disciplinary artist originally from New Zealand and now based in Southern California.  He has completed over 50 murals in locations all over the world and much of his work involves an emphasis on the natural environment.

Created by the Tustin City Council in March 2018 as an element of the City of Tustin’s Public Art Policy, the Public Art Committee is responsible for strategically commissioning public art projects and evaluating artwork proposed to be donated to the city.  The Civic Center Wall Mural is the second project that the Committee has commissioned.  Their first project involved the painting of planter boxes in Old Town Tustin in June/July 2019.
