MAJOR TRAFFIC SWITCH

Newport Avenue is now open to traffic completely from Valencia Avenue to Edinger Avenue. Those wishing to access the Northbound SR-55 on ramp may use Newport Avenue or Del Amo Avenue. Those exiting the freeway can now turn left on Newport Avenue or continue straight on del Amo to access Edinger Avenue. The project is in its final stages of work including the installation of landscaping and final asphalt paving and striping. Final paving is anticipated to take place over the last two weeks in April.
